RMTs in BC are trained in:
The assessment and diagnosis of soft tissue and joints of the body. The treatment and prevention of injury, pain and physical disorders
As RMTs we are dedicated to treating your symptoms of pain and dysfunction, including the underlying causes.
Each massage therapy session includes an assessment, treatment and homecare.
The assessment is a useful technique to differentiate between the symptoms and the underlying cause of those symptoms,
The treatment portion of the session includes various techniques such as myofascial release, neuromuscular techniques, joint mobilizations and swedish techniques.
At the end of your treatment you will be given various forms of homecare such as: stretches, strengthening exercises, hydrotherapy and recommendations of adaptions to your daily living that will help your results last longer.
Massage therapy has not only been found to reduce pain and stress but it has also been shown as effective in treating deeper structures of the body such as ligaments, bones and joints, fascia, blood vessels, organs and other soft tissues of the body.

I was born and raised in the lower mainland where I received my bachelor of science in behavioural neuroscience at SFU. I decided a change of scenery was needed and travelled to Vernon where I then attended OVCMT and graduated as an RMT in 2019.

My partner and I have recently moved to Smithers and decided to make this our home! I’m happy to have my mountains back! You can find us in town at the local gym, hiking, or skiing in our free time.

As a massage therapist I help my patients reach their personal goals through techniques such as myofascial release, positional release, joint mobilization, swedish techniques and of course home care exercises. Because no two clients are the same, I use a wide variety of assessment tools to make each treatment safe and effective for that individual.

It is my goal to help educate my clients and help them work toward a pain free life

I was born and raised in Houston where I always wanted to work in the health care field. I initially travelled to Vancouver to attend SFU and obtain my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. I worked as a kinesiologist for a year before deciding that there was more that I could do to help my clients. I attended OVCMT and completed my two year long course to becoming an RMT. As an RMT, I truly believe that there is more to the body than just muscles, I use various techniques to treat bones, joints, and fascia as well. I integrate my knowledge of kinesiology and massage to best help each and everyone of my clients. As cheesy as it may sound, I view each of my clients as a puzzle that needs to be solved. In our spare time you can spot us at the local gym, or anything in the great northern outdoors!
